-
1. Does the CVA cover me anywhere in Australia?Yes, anywhere within Australia.
-
2. Can I protect my business premises, home, livestock and pets? There is provision for property protection, and the nomination of livestock and pets under that property protection. If there is a current corporate bank mortgage over the property, that bank (only) will have access to the property, under the terms of its contract only.
-
3. If I break the law, will the PMA save me?If a member inadvertently breaks a ‘statutory law’ while going about their business as a member, the CVA will defend the rights of their Membership. However, if a member chooses to use the CVA Membership to hide behind for otherwise criminal activity, that would breach the Code Of Values” that we hold dear, and they may be expelled for that breach. That would expose them to the full weight of the statutory laws they broke.
-
4. What is the CVA “Code of Values”?The CVA Code Of Values are shown on the website and membership application. Applicants for membership must commit to uphold these values, as a condition of continuing membership.
-
5. Where does the membership money go to?A small amount of the membership money goes to paying for the costs of building and maintaining the website, and for providing the services of the CVA. An amount is set aside to provide support for members who may require lawful advisory services. A significant proportion is reserved for The Integrity Fund, which provides financial services for members.
-
6. Can I use the PMA to not pay my council rates and land taxes? We suggest you tread carefully with this. Whilst there are grounds for exemption, it requires court precedents before any member should attempt this strategy.
-
7. Has the PMA been tested in the Australian Courts?Yes. Details are available on this upon personal application.
-
8. Has the PMA been used successfully to fend off authorities? There are numerous examples of how skilful use of the PMA Membership has been used to stop authoritarian overreach right at the start of the authoritarian incursion, and others of where the PMA Membership has been used to have legal action against Members dropped. More information is available on personal application.
-
9. Does a PMA allow me to build anything I want on my land?We recommend that anything you build on your property adhere to proper building codes, for your own safety. However, the requirement to lodge an application with councils is a statutory requirement only, and may not be enforceable.
-
10. What is the membership cost?Memberships start at $100 per person, $150 for a couple and includes children of the family up to the age of 18, after which they will need to apply for their own membership.
-
11. Is the CVA a Union? The CVA is not a Trade Union, however, it is formed with the same right of assembly and right of association laws and rights that are accorded to every living man and woman.
-
12. Do I still need registration and a drivers license?Under Common Law, there is a case to be made that no one requires registration or a drivers license. However, should you wish to proceed down this path, please be aware that by not having state number plates on your car, and not having a drivers license, you are painting a target on your back and may spend hours on then side of the road trying to explain your case to the authorities, and even longer in court hearings. That is not to say that it cannot be done, only to suggest you think carefully about the implications of this course of action.
-
13. I have outstanding warrants from the police and courts. Can the CVA help? The CVA is not promoting itself as a savior for those wishing to escape the consequences of their actions. We will work with members to assist them with certain challenges, but will not look to take on cases for people whose motivation is to escape those consequences, rather joining the CVA for the shared vision and values of Membership of the Conscious Village Association.
-
14. Can the CVA get my property title deeds back? The CVA is working with a team to provide an alternative Titles Registry, to which it may be possible to transfer your land Title to. In that case, you would be able to get a Title Deed to your property.
-
15. How does the CVA protect my property?Property Protection exists because a property can be nominated as protected from legal or illegal incursion by statutory authorities. Such incursions may be considered and treated as a Trespass, which is illegal. Actions resulting from a Trespass will be invalid and also illegal. It is recommended that advice be sought on the correct use of Trespass Notices, which can support your property protection and rights.
-
16. Can the CVA keep everyone out, even my bank?If you have a ‘mortgage’ over your property, whether it is house and land, a car or anything else, you have a contract with the holder. In that contract, you have agreed to let them have reasonable access to that property. However, they have also agreed to give you ‘peaceful enjoyment’ (or some similar term) of the property and may not enter without your consent, unless you have breached the contract. For everyone else, they are subject to the Trespass Notice you post at your front boundary, in your walkway and at the front door to your property. When your property is under ‘Immunity of Property’, representatives of corporations are not authorised to enter unless invited. The same limitation applies to searches of the property and anything on it. The only exclusion is if there is reasonable suspicion of an act of terrorism being committed or planned, or crimes against a person.
-
17. Is there anyone who cannot join the CVA?All applications for membership will be vetted. There is a series of questions that will establish the likelihood of that applicant’s ability or intention to adhere to the Code of Values which we hold dear. That is the primary consideration of whether an application will be accepted.
-
18. Are all PMAs the same? No. All PMAs are not the same. For a long time, decades, they have been used almost exclusively to form private clubs to protect a small group of people with a special interest. The Conscious Village Association has a similar intention, but applied to a much wider group of people. Our special interest is in conscious communities and people right across Australia, and especially those who have been disenfranchised, lost their jobs and careers and otherwise been victimized by authoritarian overreach across this country over the last few years. Within that broad group there are many subgroups, all with the same interest, and we welcome them all. We invite other PMAs to broaden their scope too, and to welcome a wider group of people under their international law status of protection. We are all Australians. We share the same dreams and desires, and the same authoritarian overreach. Together, we are stronger.
